About Coach Mustapha

Soccer is my passion.

I have been playing soccer for over 50 years and coaching youth soccer for over 25 years. I started coaching as a volunteer at the YMCA in Baltimore, Maryland. Later, I coached at my children’s elementary school. I also coached soccer for Rockville and Montgomery County Recreation Departments for a few years.

Afterwards, I was a volunteer soccer coach for Montgomery Soccer Inc. (MSI), the premier youth recreation soccer league in Maryland where my teams won our division a few times. We also won the Sportsmanship Award one season.

I later moved up to the more competitive MSI Classic and coached for a few years and now I am the assistant coach for a U19 team playing in the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL).

I currently hold Junior Level VI license and Level 6 Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). I am also attending Ohio University and will graduate in 2017 with Masters of Science in Recreation and Sports Science, Soccer Coaching Track.
